Pricing
Lux is currently free to use.
We’re in a private testing period with a small number of families. There are no charges, no subscriptions, and no payment information collected. When Lux is ready for general availability, we’ll introduce pricing here with at least 30 days of advance notice to current users.
If and when paid features are introduced, they will follow these principles:
Clear pricing.
The full price will be visible before any payment is requested. No hidden fees.
Express consent before charging.
No charge will be initiated without your explicit confirmation. Auto-renewals, if any, will be clearly disclosed in advance.
Easy cancellation.
Any subscription will be cancellable directly in the app, without contacting support, without retention offers, without delay.
Refunds.
Our current intent is that one-time purchases (such as a rendered book or whole Bible in a voice) are final once the audio has been generated, because we paid compute costs to render it. We will document the final refund policy here before any charges begin.
Compliance.
Pricing and billing practices will comply with the federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA), state automatic-renewal statutes (California Business and Professions Code §17600 et seq., New York General Obligations Law §527, and similar), and applicable state consumer-protection laws.
